BLOassists eligible citizens to become voters and obtain voter card. BLO provides those different forms for addition, deletion and correction of Electoral Roll entries, carries out physical verification, and gives his/her report to Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) .The BLO interacts with local people/ political parties’ representatives and identifies dead/shifted/duplicate voters to be removed from the electoral roll after due process of law.
Within a few years of introduction of BLO system and successfully using it in successive elections, it has now become an integral part of election management of process.

Booth Level Officer (BLO) is an officer who collect actual field level information with regard to electoral roll corresponding to polling station assigned to them, including cases of dead, shifted electors & missing names.
BLO is the abbreviation Booth Level Officer who is the representative of Election Commission Of India. BLO is the official of Local Government or Semi-Government. BLO would be at the basic level who plays important role in roll revision process and collects actual information of polling area assigned to him/her.
BLO guides the eligible citizen to become voters and to get the voter card. BLO is the interface between local people and politicians.
